... is an author, an illustrator, a graphic designer, a sculptor, a costume designer, a podcaster and quite a few other things that he's lost track of but will no doubt remember when the situation calls for it. He is a founding member of the daily flash-fiction website 365 TOMORROWS, and the writer and producer of two science-fiction podcasts, "The Voice Of Free Planet X" and the serial "Aliens You Will Meet." He is not domestic, he is a luxury, and in that sense, necessary.

New Life

This past Saturday was our second annual Halloween-In-February party. Before I go into the joy and delight that was this year’s Winter’s Masque, I must address the big news that was revealed to the guests that night:

J.R. and I are expecting a tiny Axelrod to be born later this year.

As you can see by the hand-on-the-forehead placement, she is already quite dramatic.

Here on some answers for the questions that we have been frequently asked:

  • J.R. is feeling fine. She has been experiencing a “fairy-tale” first trimester, apparently.
  • We did, in fact, plan it.
  • We expect this tiny person to pop out August 5, or there abouts.
  • We do not know the gender yet, but when we can find out, we will.
  • Our family is overjoyed.
  • No names have been decided yet, though Coriolana, Sebastian, Viola, Hero, Robin and Mycroft have been batted around, with various degrees of seriousness. “Biscuit” is current how we’re referring to her.
  • Yes, we are very excited.
